Cog
During a potluck lunch at work a conversation about the best commercial ever came up. Everybody, except me because I hadn't seen it nor couldn't recall it, agreed that a HONDA commercial was the best. Thanks to YOUTUBE I was able to view the ad in a matter of seconds. For something so visually simple it is really engrossing and fascinating to watch. Click HERE to watch the ad.

Hoopla
About a month ago I discovered that CRISPIN PORTER + BOGUSKY had written a book about their take on advertising called HOOPLA . Within a day I ordered the it from CHAPTERS. Since recieving it, I've flipped through and read most of the 432 page book. If your in business or trying to peddle a product or service I highly recommend this graphically engrossing book. It features cp+b's ads, creative ideas and thought process. Even if you don't come up with a hundred new ideas as I did, it will challenge your views on marketing & advertising.

"You control your future, your destiny. What you think about comes about. By recording your dreams and goals on paper, you set in motion the process of becoming the person you most want to be. Put your future in good hands - your own."
SimSim
Just got a link from a friend to the new THE SIMPSONS (or as my grandma calls it SimSim) website. From a design point of view alone I think it's awesome. It also has some great features and cool downloads. Click HERE to visit the site and plan on staying awhile - it's pretty addictive.

Man Vs Lion
I personally think that lions are one of the coolest animals on earth. They look cool and move very gracefully. But I have no intention of meeting one face to face. The guy in this VIDEO is just pure crazy. I dont think there any special effects and everything seems real. Click HERE to watch the video.

Sean "Diddy" Combs
"I've never been surprised about what happened to me. I've put in hard work to get to this point. It's like when you become a lawyer - if you're bustin' your ass, you're not surprised when you get your degree. I came in to win, you know. This is why I stay up late while other people are sleeping; this is why I don't go out to the Hamptons."

Transformers
James and I decided that it would be a good idea to catch the 10:30pm show of TRANSFORMERS because it would be so busy. We got there about a half an hour early and it was almost packed. I'm pretty sure that everyone in that theatre enjoyed the movie - I sure did. If you haven't seen it yet, I highly recommend it. It has great action scenes, a lot of comedy and hot girls that can't act. The CGI is amazing and even though the film is pretty long it'll hold your attention all the way through.
Boom Chicka Wah Wah
I have to say that one of the funniest commercials I've seen are the Boom Chicka Wah Wah commercials from AXE. I wish I could be a fly on the wall in that meeting when they came up with the idea. Click HERE one of the commercials, it’s already been viewed over a million times.

Tracker
Just for fun I thought I would check out if any new free agents have been signed on the first day of eligibility and I couldn’t believe all the action. Here are a few major signings (and shockers): Jason Blake with Toronto, Daniel Briere with Philly, Scott Gomez and Chris Drury with the New York Ranger. My hope is that the Canucks will be able to sign Paul Kariya. Click HERE to view all the mayhem.
Jerry Seinfeld
“Seems to me the basic conflict between men and women, sexually, is that men are like firemen. To men, sex is an emergency, and no matter what we're doing we can be ready in two minutes. Women, on the other hand, are like fire. They're very exciting, but the conditions have to be exactly right for it to occur.”
Rudy
I decided watched the film RUDY last night after someone at work told me that it is his favorite sports movie of all time. While I didn't like the character of Rudy right away, his determination and desire eventually rubbed off on me and even though the film is pretty predictable, I found myself cheering for the guy. This true story is a despite the odds, hard work pays off kind of movie. I highly recommend it.
