My goal this year has been to hang out with as many old friends as I could. While achieving this goal I neglected to hang out with two of my oldest friends.
So on Wednesday night, JAMES, MIKE and I got together and finally hung for the first time this year. After much discussion we finally decided to go to SAMMY J PEPPERS for dinner. Despite the disappointment of a male server, the food was fantastic and the conversation even better.
The plan after dinner was to see a movie but MIKE said he wanted to go home and crash for an hour. JAMES and I didn't mind and decided to squeeze in a game of NHL 07. I was playing really well and was up 5-3 heading into the third period when out of nowhere JAMES scored three goals in three minutes (these breakdowns on my end happen way too often) and I ended up losing the game 6-5. I have to give JAMES credit, not only for the win but he didn't whine once when he was down, which for him is quite an accomplishment.
But as we both expected, at the last moment MIKE bailed. He didn't even have the decadency to call but instead sent a text message saying he was too tired to go out and watch a movie. Despite MIKE’S usual backing out routine (sometimes I question why I'm friends) it was a pleasant evening of good food and good company.
