Ad Legend

THIS BOOK BY AD LEGEND GEORGE LOIS SHOULD BE A MARKETING TEXTBOOK.

Beyonce

While waiting at the barber shop the other day I flipped through the current issue of SPORTS ILLUSTRATRED - SWIMSUIT EDITION. I have to say I was very impressed with the issue and think BEYONCE was the perfect cover model. For a taste click HERE and the full version visit a newsstand near you.

Ice Ice Baby

My buddy MIKE has been having a string of bad luck lately. The poor guy has been in four car accidents over the past two months and the most recent occuring on Saturday. I spoke with him that afternoon and he said due to his lack of transportation he was strandred at home that night. Instead of sulking around the house feeling sorry for himself MIKE made use of the time and spent four hours making VANILLA ICE REMIX 1.1. Click HERE to view the video.

Brian Tracy

"Perhaps one of the greatest discoveries in history is this simple truth: you become that which you think about most of the time. No one is smarter than you, no one is better than you, no one has more inborn talent than you. But successful people, at one point or another, set their minds on becoming that which they have now become."

Sedin Twins

I just finished watching the new NHL commercial featuring DANIEL and HENRIK SEDIN of the VANCOUVER CANUCKS. I think it’s hilarious and one of the better commercials produced for this campaign. Click HERE to view it. Thanks to JAMES for the link.

Mindfreak

My cousins showed me this crazy CLIP of CRISS ANGEL cutting some lady in half with his hand. Now I've seen some bizarre magic tricks but this one takes the cake. I don't know how he does it but I do know that I’ll never being volunteering myself for any of his stunts.

Gift

I received one of the thoughtful gifts from my buddy JERRY. He told me a few months ago that he purchased a six pack of beer for me. I was suprised since I'm not a drinker but when I saw the brand name I hit floor laughing. The name of the beer is '"Hermannator" and he said when he saw it he thought of me. Thanks JERRY.

A REALLY COOL PRINT (36X24) BY ILLUSTRATOR CHUCK ANDERSON

Jerry Seinfeld

“According to most studies, people's number one fear is public speaking. Number two is death. Death is number two. Does that sound right? This means to the average person, if you go to a funeral, you're better off in the casket than doing the eulogy.”

Prediction

With the SUPERBOWL XLI only two days away I decided it was time to release my pick. After much thought and analysis I think CHICAGO will win the big one. I do think that PEYTON MANNING is a good quarterback but I just feel like he’s going to crack under the pressure. But regardless, may the best team win.

Night Out

My goal this year has been to hang out with as many old friends as I could. While achieving this goal I neglected to hang out with two of my oldest friends.

So on Wednesday night, JAMES, MIKE and I got together and finally hung for the first time this year. After much discussion we finally decided to go to SAMMY J PEPPERS for dinner. Despite the disappointment of a male server, the food was fantastic and the conversation even better.

The plan after dinner was to see a movie but MIKE said he wanted to go home and crash for an hour. JAMES and I didn't mind and decided to squeeze in a game of NHL 07. I was playing really well and was up 5-3 heading into the third period when out of nowhere JAMES scored three goals in three minutes (these breakdowns on my end happen way too often) and I ended up losing the game 6-5. I have to give JAMES credit, not only for the win but he didn't whine once when he was down, which for him is quite an accomplishment.

But as we both expected, at the last moment MIKE bailed. He didn't even have the decadency to call but instead sent a text message saying he was too tired to go out and watch a movie. Despite MIKE’S usual backing out routine (sometimes I question why I'm friends) it was a pleasant evening of good food and good company.
