Thich Nhat Hanh
"Live your daily life in a way that you never lose yourself. When you are carried away with your worries, fears, cravings, anger and desire, you run away from yourself and you lose yourself. The practice is always to go back to oneself. Life can be found only in the present moment. The past is gone, the future is not yet here, and if we do not go back to ourselves in the present moment, we cannot be in touch with life. "

Strawberry
A yoga instructor told me this simple fable to illustrate a lesson. He said that a monk was being chased by a tiger and ran and ran until he got to the edge of a cliff. With the tiger in pursuit he jumped but instead of crashing to the water he luckily caught a branch. While hanging on to the branch he noticed a small bush of strawberries beside him. With the tiger above him, the water below him and the branch giving out on him the monk eat a strawberry and enjoyed it. The lesson: no matter what's behind him or in front of you always enjoy the strawberry.

Launch
Just recently re-launched my personal website and have been trying to learn about some online tools that everyone has been talking about. I didn't realize how time consuming it was to try to build an online presence for yourself. No wonder people spend so much time on the internet. To view the site please click HERE.

Procrastination No More
Came across this great article and website for creative professionals about ways to overcome procrastination and get things done. This something I've struggled with, particularly after looking over my idea book and realizing I accomplished very little last. To read this informative article click HERE.

Buddha
"Do not dwell in the past, do not dream of the future, concentrate the mind on the present moment. An insincere and evil friend is more to be feared than a wild beast; a wild beast may wound your body, but an evil friend will wound your mind. Holding on to anger is like grasping a hot coal with the intent of throwing it at someone else; you are the one who gets burned."

It's Time To Crush It
Just began reading GARY VAYNERCHUK'S recent book called CRUSH IT. This guy has build his personal brand from the ground up using social media and video blogging and provides tools for individuals to do the same. Part motivation and part case study, it does well to chronicle other people's successes. Some parts may come off as pie in the sky but overall I would recommend this book. The chapter on personal branding alone is worth a second and third read.
