"I like the challenge of having to win people over with a new concept. My father was a salesman. And I saw him have to talk people into things and expose people to new ideas all the time. And I like that. What’s the point if you’re not presenting something new to people, that people might not be ready for, and exposing people to new ideas?”

"I'm hungry for knowledge. The whole thing is to learn every day, to get brighter and brighter. That's what this world is about. You look at someone like Gandhi, and he glowed. Martin Luther King glowed. Muhammad Ali glows. I think that's from being bright all the time, and trying to be brighter. That's what you should be doing your whole time on the planet. Then you feel like, 'My life is worth everything. And yours is too."

Use Adversity
Click HERE to read an intriguing article by MALCOM GLADWELL. The piece focuses on Sidney Weinberg, a poor down and out high school dropout from Brooklyn born in 1891 who rised the up the ranks of GOLDMAN SACHS. Gladwell writes at lenght about the advantages of adversity and how rejection makes people more adaptable and hungry for success. Another thought provoking great read by this now famous Canadian writer.

We Made You
Its been four years since he released a single and to be honest I don't think it was worth it. A few days ago EMINEM'S newest video "WE MADE YOU" premiered. It was good but not great. He's skill level is still top notch and the song catchy but I was hoping for a bit from a grown man. I hope the rest of RELAPSE is more mature than this single. Don't know about you but I miss the old 8 MILE deep thinking MARSHALL MATHERS. To watch the video click HERE.

I highly recommend any person walking on earth to read PSYCHO-CYBERNETICS by MAXWELL MALTZ. Although the book was published in 1960, it is timeless and even more relevant in our current doom and gloom society. MALTZ, a plastic surgeon by trade writes success and happiness being habits and how to develop them. He also writes about the trappings of depression and how to avoid and learn from failure. Buy the book and read it over and over again. My favorite section of the book was the habit of happiness section. He is correct in how take a situation and we confuse opinion and fact as one.

Dance
Not sure how many phones this commercial from T-Mobile sold but I found myself watching it a half a dozen times. The concept is called Life is for Sharing and about 400 people took over Liverpool Street Station to dance. The reaction from the crowd was great to watch. To watch the advert click HERE. To watch behind the scenes click HERE. This video took eight months to put together and I found prep work more interesting than the ad itself.
Stephen Covey
"Every human has four endowments- self awareness, conscience, independent will and creative imagination. These give us the ultimate human freedom... The power to choose, to respond, to change. "

Maxwell Maltz
“What is opportunity, and when does it knock? It never knocks. You can wait a whole lifetime, listening, hoping, and you will hear no knocking. None at all. You are opportunity, and you must knock on the door leading to your destiny. You prepare yourself to recognize opportunity, to pursue and seize opportunity as you develop the strength of your personality, and build a self-image with which you are able to live / with your self-respect alive and growing.”
Raps Howard Hughes
If your a fan of his or not I recommend you read this great article on EMINEM: THE FALL AND RISE OF A SUPERSTAR. The article documents his obession with his work and how he comes to terms with his fame and the loss of his best friend. I'm looking forward to upcoming album RELAPSE and can't believe its been four years since he released an album - time flys.

Listening To: Halo
Its one of those things that you can't fully explain. Since a friend at work mentioned to me that her current favorite song was HALO by BEYONCE I haven't been able to stop listening to it. Don't know if its the chorus or the lyrics but for some reason, at this time in my life this song just really speaks to me. Click HERE to watch the video.
