On Saturday afternoon I watch I AM LEGEND on IMAX. This was my first time seeing a movie on Imax and I have to say that it I may never see a movie in a regular theatre again. The Imax experience was amazing, I actually felt like I was in the movie. WILL SMITH does a great acting job; the guy sure has come along way since FRESH PRINCE OF BEL AIR. The visuals in the movie are outstanding and I don't think there was second I wasn't glued to my seat. If you have 1.5 hours free I recommend you drop in to a theatre near you. The Imax film also had the first six minutes of the upcoming Batman sequel, THE DARK KNIGHT. I don't want to give anything away, but I totally agreed with JAMES when he said "that was worth the cost of admission alone." Those six minutes are just that good.

Just finished reading KEITH FERRAZZI'S first book NEVER EAT ALONE. Once you get past the ego (he mentions he went to Yale and Harvard a thousand times at the beginning) it is a good how to book on networking and building relationships. I personally liked the chapter about audacity. If your a business person or someone trying to connect to the right people you should purchase this book or visit your nearest library. The book also touches on personal branding, something that is becoming more important in this hyper interactive world of ours.

"Me and a few buds were havin some Eric Brewers. One thing led to another and we ended up also having some Jaromir Jagr Bombs. At this point I couldn’t see too Daniel Cleary but I noticed a broad out on the dance floor wearing a real short Guillaume Latendresse.She wanted to take me home to her house in Jason Pominville. This chick definitely had more Doug Weight than I did but I’m a sucker for Andrew Brunettes. I had too many Daniel Brieres to realize she was Rico Fata so I went home with her. She was pretty Ben Eager and went for my Evgeni Nabokov right away. She was Chris Osgood at handling my John Pohl and even played with my Joe Sakic. I waited for her to fall asleep and then I was Sergei Gonchar.the next morning I realized I had a Dan Boyle on my Kyle Wellwood everytime I took a piss there was a Patrick Sharp pain. The Kingdom

If you have a spare 2 hours over the couple of week I recommend you watch THE KINGDOM. I thought the film was amazing. It had great story, good characters, awesome visuals (with MICHAEL MANN producing I expected it) and was very engrossing. College Daze

Sorry for the lack of blogging. It's been a crazy past few weeks. Last Sunday I jumped on a ferry to Victoria (The Island as its know in BC, Canada) for a week of classes as I got accepted into the Bachelors of Commerce program there. The week went by pretty fast, I meet some great people, didn't learn a whole lot and dropped over $2000 on tuition. Overall I enjoyed the college experience and am looking forward to going back next year for two weeks. To view pictures from the week click HERE.

I was unfortunate enough to catch the MTV MUSIC AWARDS tonight. I don't know why but I just found the award show really boring. BRITNEY SPEARS kicked off the show with her comeback single, I didn't notice many stars jumping up and down or enjoying it, heck even BRITNEY looked bored but I have to give her credit - she did look pretty good. But the person who stole the show was CHRIS BROWN. The guy brought the house down with this dance moves. Beyong that I can't think of anything that memorable or news worthy about the show. Graduation

I just heard a preview of KANYE WEST'S newest album GRADUATION. While I think the guy is really talent and works damn hard to be good, his recent cocky attitude was beginning to annoy me. Despite my personal some what dislike with the guy he still delivers a great album. Graduation has to be one of the most unique albums I've heard in a while. Tragedy

A horrible tragedy occurred on Friday night when a 71-year-old man accidentally drove into a family as they were walking down a dark street. Please read the story by clicking HERE. The images of the scene were very disturbing and my heart goes out the victims (6 dead and 17 injured) but I also feel a great deal of sympathy for the drive, a elderly man who couldn’t see the parade of people. I watched the news on Saturday and felt really sorry for the man when they showed him on television; visibly looking shocked and disturbed. I've been asked countless times over the past few days whose fault I think it is and my response has been nobody’s. I think it is one of those things that happens, and sadly was meant to happen and I hope never happens again.

About a month ago I discovered that CRISPIN PORTER + BOGUSKY had written a book about their take on advertising called HOOPLA . Within a day I ordered the it from CHAPTERS. Since recieving it, I've flipped through and read most of the 432 page book. If your in business or trying to peddle a product or service I highly recommend this graphically engrossing book. It features cp+b's ads, creative ideas and thought process. Even if you don't come up with a hundred new ideas as I did, it will challenge your views on marketing & advertising.

Transformers

James and I decided that it would be a good idea to catch the 10:30pm show of TRANSFORMERS because it would be so busy. We got there about a half an hour early and it was almost packed. I'm pretty sure that everyone in that theatre enjoyed the movie - I sure did. If you haven't seen it yet, I highly recommend it. It has great action scenes, a lot of comedy and hot girls that can't act. The CGI is amazing and even though the film is pretty long it'll hold your attention all the way through.

I decided watched the film RUDY last night after someone at work told me that it is his favorite sports movie of all time. While I didn't like the character of Rudy right away, his determination and desire eventually rubbed off on me and even though the film is pretty predictable, I found myself cheering for the guy. This true story is a despite the odds, hard work pays off kind of movie. I highly recommend it.

Watched the movie FRACTURE tonight with JAMES. I had only seen one ad and wasn't too sure what the story was so I went in with no expectations. Personally I really enjoyed the movie and liked the much-anticipated twist. The film was well paced and well acted and I highly recommend it.

Just as I begun to kick my donut habit (I haven't had one since the end of February) and significantly decreased the number of cookies I consume on a daily basis, I've developed a new addiction to cheddar cheese. Entourage

Over a span of three days last week I watched the first three seasons of ENTOURAGE. That's right, I watched all 26 episodes (780 hours) in three days. I was that hooked. Even after watching the last episode of Season 3, I still wanted to see more. The show is really well done, great dialogue, cool cast (JEREMY PIVEN as Ari Gold is brilliant) and likeable characters. I highly recommend you check out this awesome show.

Intense Workout

After a lot of procrastination I finally attended my first yoga class today. I questioned if I would be able to do it and if it was for me. I knew going into it that it was going to be intense but I didn't know that I would be cursing myself out during the middle of it wishing I was home with a bag of bbq chips in my hand. The 90 minute yoga class was one of the most intense and mentally challenging workouts I've ever had. I haven't decided to go back yet but I'm proud that I pushed myself and tried something new.

Shooter

I watched SHOOTER starring MARK WAHLBERG last week and was disappointed to see it drop in the box off this past weekend. I personally enjoyed the film and found it to be a smart, fast paced thriller with some awesome explosions. I never realized how much thought goes into being a sniper. If you get a chance I highly recommend you check it out.
