Two Years

For the first time since March 2004 I worked out at a gym. I can't begin to tell you how much energy I feel. It is only 7:55 a.m. as I write this and after a 45 minute workout I feel like I've accomplished so much today.

Addiction

I read an old article in ROLLING STONE magazine about KANYE WEST and after I finished the article he was my new hero. The dude admits in the interview that he has an addition to pornography; good for you KANYE - the first step is admitting you have a problem.

But personally, if I were to become famous I would never admit that in a national magazine, that's a dirty little secret between me, my video store, my DVD player and the other seven people that read this blog.

Pita Virgin

Yesterday afternoon I had lunch with a friend of mine. We meet at a small cafe in downtown Vancouver and I ordered a chicken pita (I had never tried it plus it was the cheapest thing on the menu). I didn't expect it to be so good, the only downside is that it falls apart if you don't eat it right and if you’re on a date the last thing you want to be doing is wiping dressing of your face.

I just finished reading OFTEN WRONG BUT NEVER IN DOUBT by millionaire ad man and television host DONNY DEUTCH. The book is a good read if your interested in marketing or advertising but if your looking for a how to get rich story you'll have to look elsewhere.

For the past month THE USUAL SUSPECTS DVD has been sitting on top of my tv. Finally I had time to watch it yesterday and man was it a good movie. It held my attention from beginning to end and I was still thinking about the film after it was over. If you haven't already you should rent this classic film, I ain't no ROGER EBERT but I give it a huge thumbs up.

Phone Etiquette

This afternoon I received a phone call from a friend (who will remain nameless) - I had a lot of work to do but I hadn't talk to him a while so I answered the phone. During the majority of the conversation I felt like I was talking to myself, he was as he said sending an e-mail.

Now generally I wouldn't have a problem with this but as I reminded him - "you called me". The moral of this story: don't call a friend unless you really are interested in speaking with him/her or you're just wasting his/her and your time.

Mmm Good

Today I was really in the mood for donuts so I headed to TIM HORTONS. When I got there I saw an ad for the CHICKEN CLUB SANDWICH and I thought it looked really good and it had to be healthier than the chocolate donut that I had my eye on so I ordered it - without tomatoes. Despite the horrible service I received the sandwich tasted great. If your ever in the mood for a sandwich and see the TIMMY sign from a far try it out.

Front page headline on THE PROVINCE NEWSPAPER yesterday: STEVE NASH GETS A HAIR CUT. Of course the big questions now is - why'd he do it. I'm a NASH fan but even I don't think him getting a haircut is that important.

Cookie Monster

I had a box of cookies sitting on the kitchen counter today. Around 4:00 I noticed that the box was almost empty, after thinking about it I realized that I had ate thirteen cookies in a span of four hours - a record that I'm not very proud off.

Facial Hair

A lot of people at work today have been asking me why I'm growing a beard. My answer is because I can.

But the real reason is because I've kind of let myself go (I been eating a lot of cookies, donuts and chips) and am trying to cover the extra baggage under my chin.

Regret Craving

For some strange reason I was really craving pizza tonight and when it was lunch time I went running down the street trying to find a pepperoni. Generally I don't give in to temptation but tonight I did and man do I regret it. PIZZA BY THE SLICE didn't have any single slices left but offered to make me a small pizza in 5 minutes - I wish they hadn't. It's been about 2 hours since I finished the whole pizza (I ate 8 slices in 15 minutes) and now I feel sick. I'm thinking about walking home from skytrain just try to burn off some of the calories.

Funny Man

I first heard DANE COOK'S stand up act on MTV a few months ago and didn't think the guy was that funny until my brother starting forwarding me these videos from YOUTUBE. I have to admit he’s starting to grow on me, and the funny thing is by the comments he receives, people either love him or hate him. But from a marketing point of view he has done a great job of self-promotion - he is all over MYSPACE and YOUTUBE.

Too Hot?

I just read a magazine article that said that the commercial and print campaign for UNFORGIVABLE BY SEAN JOHN is too sexual and was pulled. You can view the commercial and creative on the website under VIDEO and PRESS. Personally I don't think it's that racy but you be the judge.

New Phone

I have only had my new cell phone for about four or five days now but I really miss my old phone. I'm not a big fan of change but I do enjoy learning new things but I don't care much for all the fancy technology on my new phone. I just want to be able to dial a number, press send and have someone on the other end pick up.

The worst part is that the ringtone is different so whenever it rings I’m looking around wondering why someone isn’t answering their phone. I know I'll learn to love this new phone but I just miss the good old days.
